Trucks just passed the house headed back to the barn after 4.5 hours.  News says eight units damaged, six uninhabitable.

I think it's about six years old.  Pretty sure they were finishing construction as we moved into our place.

            The important thing here is, nobody got hurt, buildings can be replaced people can't. I have experience in that , I lost my parents in a house fire, it really sucks.

It sure is. Sorry to hear that as well 30-30....Glad no one was hurt in that one Chucker.  Trussed roof systems are death traps. They sure do go up quick, and are strong as heck, until you add fire.....

Talked to a guy at work today.  He's on the ambulance squad, and usually is the driver.  He said it was started by a cigarette on a cushion on a piece of porch furniture.  Cushion went up quick, and spread to the structure.  Attic firewall saved it from spreading across the whole place.

               I think I screwed myself, last fall a friend lent me a mini excavator, so I went a little wild. I tried to square up a bank on the side of my house, when I dug into it, I found a burried wall. Well back then I said to myself no big deal, I'll just build a rock wall, well I started it today, oh boy! ::) I have a long way to go! Here are some before & after pics.
