We do need rain badly. Swamps and ponds are all low. Just disappointed that what I expected to be a eventful and quickly successful season for the bride and I turned sour by a new group of guy's moving in on me and a run of poor weather. That's hunting I guess.  8)  Still have all month.

I'm with you bog the loggers have my prime spot ruined as well....I need to find a different area to hunt turkeys >:( hunting camp is a option but fuel prices are gonna limit my trips

Got out for the second time today with the wifey, we had a blast! I put two more jakes in her lap at 7am came in silent, she passed them again and at about 730am I thought it was all gonna pay off for her when two studs in the 21-23 lb range came in dragging beards to the ground gobbling like crazy ( first vocals we have heard this year ). Worked them for an hour exactly only needed about 10 more yds. for her 20 gauge to bark and then the rain started dumping and they hightailed it into the cover............. SO CLOSE! It was awesome.

Thanks! The time together is the biggest thing...............  work 75 hrs. a week and coming home just beat, and her chasing the little ones all day I feel like I just come home and say hi to the 3 girls and then we all go to bed.
