Its better to catch a small one than none at all. Pretty tough with 30 degree temp. swings from night to day.

Nice fish halfrack and drobs.

Only had one guy for the trip today, late start. Nothing at the spot they were biting Thurs.; set up off another larger brook(slightly warmer water,too) and hit a laker the first pass by the mouth. Only fished 2 riggers for lakers and had 4 lines out on the planers for salmon, he wanted a salmon because his buddy got a nice one recently. Ended up with 7 lakers up to 26" in the last 2.5 hrs, all on the riggers; water's still cold for salmon and there just aren't many around.

Around 30-35 ft, figured we'd pick up a shallow one wth 4 lines out. :-\

Wind wasn't too bad, breezy with a few gusts, waves weren't bad.
