          That's 1 big Striper, I've caught them in salt water but yet to fish fresh water for them. Must to have been 1 fight to get him in.

In the water and everything is just about set up, have a bunch of "little things" to do. The back fishfinder/GPS is acting up and will have to go back to Lowrance, it's been happening on and off; might need something soldered?, it works, sometimes. Luckily I have 2 of the same units, moved the front one to the back for trolling; don't need it up front till bass season.

This could be a record, install date on the batteries I'm using was April 2004, one year before I bought the boat, 8 SEASONS so far. I was having some problems last Fall but they might have been not getting charged because the ground wires were corroded bad. They all took a charge and I cleaned everything and used dielectric grease this time; started the big block no problem. Guess it helps I have 4 batteries, 2 27s and 2 24s; have to see how far I get and if they can run the riggers, autopilot, FFs, etc. all day(will have a spare on board)

Seeing a lot of salmon being caught in Maine this spring....so maybe they will be hitting better here...

Need to respool rigger rods tomorrow, so I just put out some shallow lead lines hoping for a salmon; got one nice laker about 22 1/2", fished  about an hour.

Fished a few Springs like this and the fishing is usually better than normal; we started in late March in 2002(no freeze) and did really well on the salmon and lakers. Here's a pic from the first week of April '02:
