Thanks Ed, we have all the irrigation up and running so we can protect from frost for the most part. Just makes a real long night running pumps and checking sprinkler's.

           Anyone have the feelings I do on "tipping" @ restaurants or barber shops, for instance your bill @ a restaurant is $35 for 2, you give the waitperson a $100 bill & the immediate question is " do you want change". What the heck is this world coming to, first of all that's 1 heck of a tip, 2nd what gall basically they are asking for a tip, it's like they are trying to shame you into giving a bigger tip than the normal 20%, used to be 15%. Last but not least tips are a reward for good service which is not always given, so the amount of the tip is up to the customer.

I over tip on average, but tend to adjust more for poor service. Falls under on of my pet peeves, rewarding bad behavior.

Tipping should be a scale not a set %.......If my food arrives hot,the way I ordered it and in a timely manner. The staff was polite, got me the ketchup when I asked and didn't take my drink when it was still half full I tip around the 20% mark. As the requirements aren't met we drop on the scale accordingly.
Who makes these rules anyway? Tip included for party's of 6 or more? really........why......because the staff can't remember and keep the order straight? when did we go from 10-15-20% ?   Have the egg's and coffee gotten heavier? the price of the meal went up so that means that so did the tip without increasing the %. Sorry for the rant but the wife drives me nut's when she pulls the calculator out after a dinner.....

             The biggest gripe I have on tipping is that they ask, IF YOU WANT CHANGE. If I owned a restaurant I would instruct my wait staff Not to ask a customer that, to it cheapens the establishment.
