Home from fishing...do have some pics...Will get them up later...
Did find some jumbos....but they didn't want any jig I own...only a minnow on a tip up... :o :o :o
One large laker....but not on my line...LOL...

Look forward to the pics Upstate. I only fished 4-5 hours this afternoon. Sat on top of a bunch of perch, but I guess I need a secret lure too. Spent a while chatting with the guy next to me. It was his first time on the ice in 15 years, so he decided to enter the tournament  :o. First fish I jigged up was a fat7-8" chub, so I gave it him to put on a tip-up. Second fish was my last, an average perch. Wind was brutal. Started to jig for walleyes but the last group out was leaving so I packed up. Didn't feel great being out there alone between open water and where a guy took a dip earlier today.

Weather this morning was stellar!! Walk into the lake was adventuresome.....Steep....But we were up to the challenge...
Did find out, the bucket biologists have been busy here....once only trout and perch, bullhead...now Pickerel, Bass, and bait fish up the wazoo...But the perch are big!!

First flag!! Tyler has only three tip ups in and pickerel on the line...

Then a friend caught a nice 24" 4lb laker...

We only brought home a few...but Tyler did get one 13 1/2"
So fillet time...think they are thawed enough now.... 8) 8)
A pic of a cabin on the shore line.....the mountains stayed in the clouds all day....but were nice to be in... ;)

Sonar worked well all day....could watch fish come off the bottom.........then turn down my jigs... ::) ::)
Even a perch bait shiner with a nice flashy lure....nothing....Had some follow the jig down...then disappear...
Yet they would take a 3" shiner on a tip up.... :o :o :o

I was getting the same thing no matter what jig I tried. The one I finally got to hit I was jigging non stop, but it never worked again  :-\.

That would be ideal but that is not an easy road...definitely two stacked teams this year...it would be great revenge for us after the 1995 whoopin you put on us in the finals... ;D

I agree two talented teams for sure. Those were the golden years for us. Before Tubby ran us into the ground then left. ;D ;D
