Well that stunk..   Got to sit in my stand for about an hour before I started hearing thunder and saw the black clouds coming in....    Had to run the last 50 yards to the house as the down pour started................ :P :P :P :P

There was a real bright double rainbow over my hunting spot this afternoon. I forgot my father has a good refrigerator in his garage he wanted to get rid of anyway, saved me a bunch of money I don't have to spend. Just have to find out if it'll fit through my door.

Anyone ever have a tent camp? I've been looking into this for next year... If so, what did you use? I've seen some army tents but they sure aren't cheap.

If I ever manage to buy some hunting land I was thinking about doing a base camp tent too. I was thinking about pouring a concrete slab to put it on. You're right though they aren't cheap. For the price you could probably get an amish shed and convert it into a small camp.

I have 40 acres North of Lake George surrounded by about about 1500 acres I can hunt. I was thinking of putting a tent up there next year. A couple guys I know are leaving their camps and we are thinking of trying to lease the adjacent property. I think with a bit of time spent learning the land, it could be productive.

Nice. My brother has gotten a buck up in that area the past two years, nothing huge but any ADK forest buck is a trophy IMO.
