New Hunter
« on: Dec 10, 2009, 01:10:55 PM »
Well - it looks like there aren't to many people on this forum from the good ol' UP.  This was my first year ever hunting of any type.  Was only able to get out a couple of days during rifle season- saw 5 deer one of which may have been a buck but my shooting lane wasn't real great.  Next year the lane will be cleared out a little better and I'll have a better spot to be watching from.

Looking at picking up a bow as well - never shot one of those either.  Anyone have any suggestions for a green hunter?

Welcome to the site icedflies..I'v been to the UP once. I use to live in Holland back in the mid 80"s...Not to many Mich. guys on.. Is it your first year hunting because you just turned old enough or did you just pick up a new hobby?

New Hobby-

I figured I don't spend enough money on ice fishing in the winter, steelhead in the spring, trout in the summer, salmon in the fall.  Might as well go buy some guns and arrows so I can shoot stuff too!!!
