Back from up north
« on: Nov 16, 2009, 11:13:11 PM »
Got there  Wed. Nov. 11 and  come back Sun. Nov. 15. Weather was good but I like to see it a little cooler. We seen lots of animals 20 elk, 4 which were bulls, 10 moose 1 was a big bull and lots of deer but only 2 shooters.

This is the area we were hunting in.

A picture of the equipment to get there.

On Nov. 12 at about 10:30am I did a walk through an island of trees. The wind was blowing quite hard so I thought they would be bedded up and I was right. I came across 3 does and 2 fawns about 30 yards away and 1 buck at about 45 yards all laying down. I pulled the trigger on this deer, not my biggest but meat on the table.

On the last morning my buddy, Adam shot this deer running right to him at about 50 yards also at 10:30 am.

It's Adam's biggest deer and his first Whitetail. Here's a pic of the trips harvest.

I hope everybody had a good year and see you out there!

Work is just to support all of my habits. HUNTING AND FISHING!!!!

Congrats Bill Dance. That is some beautiful country up there.
I was wondering what was happening with our friends up North. No one from Canada has posted in a while.
Glad to see you've had a good season.
