easy tasty tasty goose
« on: Sep 18, 2008, 08:57:50 PM »
So far the best way ive found to cook goose and duck, but especially goose...simply cut breasts into thin slices ~3/4 inch thick, pierce a bunch of times with a fork and then marinade in your favorit steak marinade for about 2-3 hours then bake in the oven at 350 just until done DON"T overcook!  Taste great and it pretty much melts in your mouth, my fav marinade for this is french's meat marinade.
It flies it dies

Not at all. Duck can be a little greasy, but goose is more of a dence red meat. I have smoked it and roasted it and it will slice up just like roast beef.

My best goose recipe:
Nail goose to bard, feathers and all.  Into SCORCHING hot (500 deg+ ) oven for one hour.  Throw away goose and eat the board.

Please don't bother with the "you haven't tried it this way" replies.  I have.  It sucks. JMO--eat all YOU want.

I like goose fajitas. Don't over cook makes the meat tough.
