I haven't been on much this year due to lots of surgeries and medical issues with my wife. Her last surgery is coming up soon.Now I am getting focused on the season, just bought my first new bow in 14 years, an Elite Answer. So, I figured that I would check in with MHF and I don't see Drobs?

I also miss him, but I also miss the ones that moved to another site. Over the years on here I have read things that I didn't agree with and may have posted somethings that others didn't agree with, but we have to get over it. There are some that I think I "don't like" but I WILL NOT really judge them until I have spend a day in the woods or a day on the water, or sit down and have a drink with them to really be sure. Some may not even like me after that. We are only "here" for a short time, make the best of it and have some fun along the way....hunts2long

It was brought to my attention that HuntNY30 was in no way responsible for anything related to DRobs leaving. Seems I was misinformed on the subject.
If anyone wants to get in touch with anyone no longer here, just post an open question somewhere and I'm sure you will be directly directed in the right direction.
I'm not dealing with this subject anymore.

I'll jump in here, as I was the cause of much of the drama last fall. First let me clear the air about baiting, I don't care who does it. If I could I probably would, but I would not however make myself out to be better than someone who can not . That was the reason I lashed out at Dave, who before this whole mess I considered a friend. I regret the poor taste I used in my comment and tried to stay out of it after but it snowballed out of control and before you know it there was a line drawn in the sand and it seemed everyone was on one side or another. My position is there is good people who I respect on both sides, and speaking for myself, I never left to follow anyone, I left because of the insults and constant bickering. Simply put it wasn't fun for me anymore. I don't hold grudges and feel like to do so is a waste of energy. I made some real and lasting friendships on here and hope to make a few more.
The point of this site and others like it is to share experiences with other members who share a similar passion for the outdoors. At some point we should all remember that and cut out the high school lunch room drama. It was a long time ago and well past time to move on.

Yeah it was all my fault... ::)...I'm a big bad powerful rotten person who made a bunch of people do things... ::)....well said Eddie...water under the bridge a long time ago not sure why my name has to be thrown out there (twice), I said a couple things I regretted and apologized to those who deserved one...I have left those who think I'm a terrible person alone, so please leave me out of your opinionated conversations, I know who I am and those that matter do too...family, friends, hunting and fishing is what is important...not nonsense... :-\

So what other states have different laws ; if some one can get so many tags it's obvious there is a problem with not enough deer hunters

Vermont has a law that says it is not legal to hunt over bait, but you do it anyways!!!!! Your not a very ethical hunter as far as im concerned!!!!

Green Mountain Hunter I am not saying this to be mean but you are very naïve to think that Drobs was 100% innocent, nobody got him banned...I had a timeout for being out of line, Drobs had many timeouts over the years...there was many of us that were wrong but you are really disconnected to everything, you just picked a side and defended it without knowing very much...
Peddler I have met you and I thought you were a great guy as well as I have met Buck Chaser and he is nothing but a great classy guy, personalities do not show when typing and many things like sarcasm get misconstrued online...by meeting the both of you I know if you two met in person you would get along, actually pretty well...
To say we tucked our tails is the tough guy thing to say I guess, however, like everyone else on here, I enjoyed the site and what it had to offer and like Eddie said the drama and division got to be too much so we took it somewhere else...this is an internet forum and yes I still check in from time to time to answer a PM or read up on something that someone posted, there are still many people here that I have chatted with over the years and like to see their experiences and read their stories...this is really silly to still see this continue, especially see my name thrown out there like it was...really no need for it...

Actually Steve everyone was happy, I cannot speak for anyone else but I posted on here because you through my name out there not once but twice and you did it saying that I was the only bad guy...The high school drama started with you saying stuff about me behind my back, I just asked that you get your facts straight, let it go, leave my name out of it, you don't own the site, if I want to read things on here and I want to chat with people on here and I follow the rules I'm pretty sure I can...I have been on here nearly as long as you, I spent a lot of time contributing to this site, so leave my name out of it and you won't ever have to worry about hearing from me...

Now for the last time......I am not opposed to hunting over bait. I don't think any less of anyone who does.
My issues here were related to claims that someone was a better hunter because they harvest more deer annually than anyone on here........then the Internet threats started and to be honest I am too old to get stressed out over a forum.
It was not an easy decision to tuck my tail and run......I have many great friends that MHF is responsible for and for that I am thankful. Many of those friends chose to defend me during that time of conflict and they stood on my side of the line in the sand.
So perhaps I'm selfish but I moved on, that's bogmanjr......I found a new forum. People asked me where I was I told them.
I didn't recruit "cool kids"......the friends that I talk to everyday agreed that MHF wasn't fun with all the arguing and now we keep in touch elsewhere.
I never had a timeout here, always tried to treat folks as the treated me.......tried to bow out gracefully. Now your all spewing the same old crap that is your own inaccurate view of what caused MHF to fall apart.
I said I would never log back in and intended to stick to that but seeing my friends get dragged through the mud was uncalled for and the fact is they weren't responsible.......bogmanjr was.....

Well said Harry! I hadnt been back on here for a little while until a few days ago and couldnt believe the crap that was going on here! I used to enjoy reading everyones stories and joking but now it make me just want to delete the account. (Although I can get a few giggles from ignorance!) I did not intend to start a crap storm with this thread. I guess I missed the drama being off the site most of the year. I will miss Drobs and Bogman. There still seems to be an immense amount of hard feelings and drama here even without them.

IMO this can go 1 of 2 directions right here, right now. The childish name calling and held grudges can be aired out and then dropped like adults. Or turn into a childish who pisses farther match and get deleted. I'm pretty sure no one did anything serious to anyone else in the grand scheme of things to anyone else. So get it out in PM's and decide to agree, disagree but honestly just agree to disagree. I really miss this site and everyone's stories and sense of humor.

I miss the whole thing too, and have for awhile. The best part of hunting season....That wasn't edible ;D ;D ;D.... Was sharing my stories and getting to experience everyone else's . Great advice and tips from all the members here, and hey, from time to time, a good support group to pick you up when life kicks you in the doo-dads :o

That's why they make chocolate and vanilla nobody is always going to agree with others thoughts or opinions but we should honor them as we would want ours to be also. If that can't be well I don't know what to say. What do you say how about a truce forget the past and let's start over again.
