well 4 of us decided to do a fly in trip this year...flew to napigon lake...also known as chicken lake, first week of season, was warm but we managed this 40"! first ever moose seen that close for 3 of us, so it was a blast, had another bull in the distance but it got dark and never did see him, buddy had the cow go 25 yards in front of him and 20 mins later heard the bull...guess the real thing beats out some dummy blowing on a horn lol!

i cant remember the exact date but it was between September 19-25. it was shot right off the shore of the lake so yes it was very green

Early season moose hunting is usually tough especially in warm weather..........congrats to the gang :-)

Sounds like there might be a lot of closures this year ? I might head out to Alberta if time allows and get a crack at one there ?
