Post by: FULL STRETCHER on Oct 30, 2011, 12:26:32 AM: It's been a tough start on my end also my fisher gold mine was a bust I had 17 sets out and managed 2 my closer to home canine line has been cold until yesterday and today I'm at 1 skunk 1 grinner 4 coins and 3 grey fox so far put out another dozen sets today I'm up to 46 sets awesome night tonite can't wait till morning I just got that feeling its gonna be good ;D

Post by: FULL STRETCHER on Oct 30, 2011, 08:25:42 PM: Thanks guys believe it or not that big coon only weighed 19 pounds and the coyote weighed 29 pounds oh how I love this time of year up at 6 and on the line till 2ish then in the fur shed till 9ish starting to see a lot of deer activity now the last day or so they are starting to get fired up maybe later in the week I might just sit in a tree :D

Post by: slt on Nov 07, 2011, 12:21:33 PM: You guy's are killing me! I have to date, 1 red squirrel, 1 turkey, 1 porcupine and nothin' else. On vacation this week so I just got in from setting my bigger line. Maybe covering more ground will help. Lousy weather so far. Too warn followed by a foot of snow than too warm again. Still in the game though but negative thoughts are starting to creep in......

There is actually an add in the back of FFG paying decent money for the hair off of them I here the quills can be sold as well

LOL Problem there is that it takes a lot of hair to make an ounce and it takes a big hog to get the length gaurd hairs that they are after!

I know what thats like. I hang them from a tree after so a dog won't find them. Then set up a trail cam to see what visits.

Post by: jlaclair on Nov 14, 2011, 11:10:36 AM: just starting to trap, only put a coon set out so far, need to get a couple things together, but should start hitting them hard soon, looking to catch some canines this year, and got a spot for a few beaver and fisher, should be fun. First catch of the season was a nice male coon, weighed 45+lbs hoping to catch a couple behind the house so my boy can help. used a dog proof trap for the first time, and love it. These pictures are dedicated to Isaiah... thumbs up duuude. ;D

Was thinking it might help trap better e, pictures to come.

Its still a long ways from being done. Will be putting a lean to off the side in the spring. Got side tracked w deer hunting , trapping and such this fall and didnt work on it as much as planned But by next fall shell b open for business.
