Hunt hard the first week of bow then work work work untill the last week of bow and first week of gun then work work work again. Working for my self was suposed to allow more time for hunting and fishing and it has done the complete oposite.

Managed to get out opening morning, not much moving besides some turkeys. Great job on the two bucks already fella's. i have a fishing tournament saturday, so ill be out sunday.

It's a buck I've been calling lucky 7, his new name is M&M because he has beautiful chocolate horns. For the longest time I've wanted to shoot one with dark horns. Headed out now to see if he'll come back through this am. It's a little warm though 😔

Post by: Step2Jimi on Oct 25, 2016, 08:01:26 AM: Nice deer ranger, teams been quite for a little bit now. With the colder weather and november comming things should start to heat up here pretty soon. I have noticed the young bucks starting to bump does in my area in last 4 days. Iv also noticed the scrapes starting to explode. Not speaking for all areas but at least where i hunt i dont think the scrapes have much pattern to them and dont think trying to hunt any area based on scrapes is going to help at all. They area litterally everywere, and not only that, but last night i watched a forky litteraly make 5 scrapes in a matter of 4 minutes, one of witch was huge and he almost ripped the licking branch off the tree. I think he knew no other bucks were around so he could act like a tough guy for a few minutes.

I hung the stand i got him from at noon that day. I set it mainly for muzzleloader but just liked the spot so much that i sat there that evening
