So with having winters off and a newborn, not safe ice for the most part. I've decided to do something I've been trying to get off the ground.. A mushroom farm!! With the state trying to put strict regulations on wild foraging. Going to have to take a state course, permit and insurance.. I forage a bit, and sell to local restaurants where I live.. I might make 500$ a year.. Not a enough to keep doing it. So I'm going to cultivate it.. Still going to hunt for them little bastards.. But enjoy them myself.. So I'm farming. I did about 300plugs last year in logs. And I'm making another 1000 to do this year. And I've been making bags and buckets.. Tonight I get to try my first shrooms I've grown from liquid spawn. And my farm is started. Going to blow it up this spring and summer to produce as much as possible.. |
