All done with core lokt
« on: Jan 05, 2017, 07:37:13 PM »
Been on the fence about switching loads for deer hunting, well after a dud, a shell crack open and a bullet getting pulled from the case and sticking in my rifle it's time to switch. Quality control has gone way down over at Remington. I'm looking for a new 30-06 load for whitetail anyone have any experience with the Winchester deer season or federal ammos?

i use Remington's also but b4 I switched to them I was shooting Hornady sst 165s, only reason I switched to Remingtons was the fact they give rebates every year and they shoot just about the same out of my gun as the SSTs did.. very little had to move to put them on!!

180 grain pointed soft points in Remington are available factory loads almost every where Dick ..Bass pro....field and stream even Walmart ....165 Remington factory are a little harder to find ....I ve never looked for 180 hornady because all the reloads ive used are 165 grain interlocks ....I ve used 165 grain bullets for eve form javilina to caribou without any problems ...so I stick with the old if it anit broke ....

What rifle are using them in? Is it a 742 or another Remington semi?

I've had good luck with the Winchester Power Points in 165 and 180 grains, both very accurate out of my Remington 760.
