The pic does look like a Mountain Lion, but no tail...
I live in Madison County and am 43 years old. I've been an avid Hunter and Trapper since I was 14. I have only seen one Bobcat in all those years. It was in Eaton,NY.
I have no doubt that they are around, as my buddy also shot one in Lakeport,NY about 10 years ago.
Keep the pics coming...they are an amazing animal. I don't think I would kill one!!!

OK--News Break--------the pic my buddy was talking about--NOT a Mountain Lion---it's the same bobcat,,,but the rumors are still flying around ------IF they do exist here in the adirondacks I would love to see one,,,A DEAD one------

would not believe anyone or any pic unless i saw it first hand or my father saw it.and even if we did, prolly would not tell a sole bc id look like another joe idiot starting rumors.

i have trapped and called bobcats without a spotted coat before and have gotten and seen several at and close to 40# try the cambridge area and around washington county they have large cats lurking about.

google images of big bobcats you will see some with the same colors and others that are very large
