Emerald ash beetle traps...   They put them up to see how many are in the area....   We have two on our road...

All over here as well.   LOL, had to laugh at one the other day I saw at a rest area. There were no ash trees within site and they had one hanging in a young cherry tree.... 8)   Glad they have all that education.... ::)

I too was wondering what those purple things were, saw 3 different ones in montgomery county. Thought the first one was a kite or suttin stuck in a tree, till i saw the others.

there emrald ash borer traps. they put a special pheremone in the trap that attracts the insects to it then they get stuck on it. they place them about every 2 square miles to monitor the amount of ash brers in that area. they dont necessarily need to be in areas where there are ash trees around. The whole thing behind this is to protect the ash trees from these insects because one an infestation occurs the ash trees are greatly comprimised in that area.

30 more pics this week,here is the best one--droberts,the goldenrod is about 4' tall now,we'll get up there with the weedwackers soon and the mower then we'll get more pics,,,,

Hunts2long,,boy I with these were tomato's also..
