My gf's bro turned 12 yest n got a 12 ga for his bday.  ;D  (i got him all kinds of turkey huntin goodies.) he came over and shot some clays yesterday and the neverending grin told me he is ready for sunday :) he did surprisingly well. kept head down zero flinching and smashed every single clay target i set up for him. even out to 45yds.  :o

been seeing a few birds around but not as many as usual.

I am pretty much ready: bows are shooting good, set up and took down the blind, picked up a set of 3D(leafy) camo to try and get one without the blind, easier to cutt & run. Looking to be a busy May for charters but I will get out as much as I can; giving people the option of an 8am start instead of 7, should give me a couple hours. ;) ;D

I'm thinking the 2nd and 3rd weeks will be better than the 1st with the late Spring around here. Birds are in their usual spots.
Its always archery season. >>>---------->

No luck this morning. Very quiet turkeys this morning here. I did get busted by a tom coming in silent. Can't wait till next week.

Good luck everyone.
