i'm thinking to next year in the North South,you have a short time to Post your Kill-Face,Tag and Kill --no more second chance or re post your tag--if you can't figure that out -

I agree Joe. There were to many issues with that problem. As NYS laws require the deer to be tagged/or the tag filled out immediately there should be no issue for pictures. I wouldn't dare hang a deer here without the tag on it. All they have to do is drive by and scan now.
I would say, the official entry must have tag attached to deer. Pictures from camp or the woods are great for a general post.

Dont have to tag the deer immediately down here. Only when you go to move it from the place of the kill.

Scan? Are all your deer microchipped?   ;D
Kinda like the gas meter readers just driving by and scanning instead of walking.

That all sounds good to me. Anyone who has to post a picture from a deer they shot three weeks ago isn't exactly a regular. I do understand some need help with posting pics.

Yup, I thought it was bunk until a friend who is an ECO showed me the scanner. He said he can hit the tag from 100' or so. Depends on tag position. Hooked into their laptops in the vehicle. Gives them immediate read out who it is. He said he uses it mostly to try to catch the guys tagging with wifey's tag every year. He notes who and where and keeps an eye out to see if she is indeed hunting. Also stops the guy to see if he is carrying her license. Has been a accepted practice here for to long.
