Dropping already?
« on: Dec 06, 2010, 09:16:37 AM »
My neighbor hunted Washington County Saturday.  His  son shoots a nice doe in a picked corn field, she goes down.  On the way to the doe he finds a fresh 5 point shed !!!. He got to his doe and finds it's a buck that has already dropped both sides.

I know last year a guy down the road shot a big 6 point on the last weekend of Southern Zone. Between where he shot the deer & where it went down(200+ yards), he found both sheds while tracking it.

Anybody else seeing any sign that they are be dropping already?

Not yet, but I did find a shed from last year about 20 feet from where we shot two bucks this year and have been through there nearly 10 times lol.

Not yet this year but the last week of last years season I helped a friend recover an eight pt, after he shot it the buck dropped one side and when he went to drag it the other side popped off.  This was in the southern zone around this time.
