Oct.16th can't come soon enough!!

All my cloths are washed and in the air tight bin......Guns got sighted in today. And the bow has been shot hundred's of times this summer.Stands got cleared and moved weeks ago....Wood has been split and stacked at Camp. Now all I need is a fast forward button!!

Are all you fellow "South" hunters ready??


The anticipation of opening day is killing me!!

I've never seen a souther zone "deer camp". Is this what it looks like?



Lol, I'm just busting on you. Good luck, I know the feeling all to well. Hopefully you can get enough free time to spend in the woods!

  Cloths , boots and gear are all in a big tote with a bunch of apples..  I'm ready... ;D

I'm not as excited as I always have been. I think I'm learning through repetition. My seasons always seem to start off slow, so I'm going to be more patient this year and not stink up my good stands before I know the bucks are moving through during shooting light. I might focus on getting a 4J doe early and get my extra buck tag. There's a good chance I might have to travel during the season for two weeks, so I'd like to take a medium sized buck if I see one. And still be able to hunt the two big 7's.

The apples are not for the deer.......  There to make my stuff smell good....   My favorite stand is in the apple trees....

I'm ready, but always find myself wondering what else I could have done. Just have to wash the camo and decide which stand I'm going to be hunting. Of course that will all depend on wind and weather.  Everything else is ready... Maybe I should just buy one more jug of C'mere Deer... ;D ;)
