Raquettedacker's blast from the past...

I finally took the time to go through mom and dad's pictures.. Here are some I found....
My dad and his first deer...You have to remember my dad was a city boy who married a country girl.. ;D




Yea thats me on that deer,and my little brother...

Priceless pictures Raq. Thats a good buck for the first time. Never matters the antler size the heart is beating just as fast with any deer the first time walks in to a shooting lane..

Here is part of the hunting party (country boys) that got him started..  Dad is the only one still living...

Those are really great Raquette. Love the Sorels and Woolrich. I grew up in them.
Someday I'll borrow a scanner. Have boxes of pics from my families history here in the mountains.
You on the deer reminds me of the night my Dad came home from the Preserve. He and his brothers were speacial wardens on a large tract of land in Edinburg
for a wealthy man. The little stepside red Chevy pulled in and I ran out and jumped up on the stepside to see what was in the back.
It was a 485 pound bear my uncle had shot. I went right off the truck into the ditch backwards....Scared the little 6 year old tough guy.
