I'm a little new to the area and live a little west of Schenectady so I was wondering if anyone knows of any state land in the northern tier.  I know its late and the sensitivity of sharing spots, but man would I like climb up a tree soon.

Tyler and I will be off the ground at daylight,'till we shoot one of 10am which ever comes first. Then have my grandsons birthday party until I have to take Ty to work at 4pm. Then I will be in stand till dark.
Hope everyone has a safe and prosperous first morning.

Anyone have any luck this morning?? i was in the stand at 620 saw one doe 65 yrds out. still hunted from 9-11 and saw four more, 3 busted me and the 4th was a huge doe (thought it was a buck at first) 45 yrds away facing straight at me and never came closer nor turned broadside. this afternoon is what ive really been waiting for though... someone post pics though if you got one!

Way to go Halfrack, congrats. We didn't get one but saw two bucks together 8 point and 4 point, both in velvet still. never got closer than fifty yards and faced away from me.
Side note my buddy killed a nice doe this morning.

Missed a nice Doe at 10 yards!  Arrow bounced off of a tree limb 10 feet in front of me :(

Way to go Half Rack!  That's awesome Man!  Good way to start off the season!!!
