well im going to be bear hunting this year for my first time, i was wondering what gun/bow to use?? Remington 700- 7MM rem mag- 3-9x40 scope Mossburg 500- 12GA-rifled barrel, 3-9x40 scope CVA 30-06- 3-9x50 scope or the trusty old bow Parker Hornet 2, 68 lbs draw weight, rage broadheads and the spot i will be hunting is a small flatt, open hard woods, out of a tree stand, thanks for any advice |

I have never hunted bear before and would love to say I took one with my bow. But if it was my first time I would have to say I would take a rifle.. And a Rem 700 would be a good gun to have... ;D |

I have been involved in bear hunting for 20+ years.All of the weapons you named will work but I prefer 7MM or 30-06 |

I would want to use a bow or a 30-06. I do agree with aquaassassin the bow would be an awesome rush. |
