SISIF's Trail Cam

Where did you get them? I sent my 2010 Trophy Cam back to Cabelas the first time and got it replaced real fast. Bushnell will probably replace them, but it takes a while. If you don't have a receipt they go by the MFG date off the serial number and it has to be under two years to be covered, otherwise you have to pay for the repair/replacement. The one had runaway picture syndrome and needs to be replaced. You could try installing the new software and see if it fixes it, but I wouldn't expect it to.

Well I went to install the software, so I grabbed the camera and opened it up, to see this.



I guess rain got in there somehow? It was a little wet behind the batteries. At least it didn't burn the house down.

Yup that was a hell of a short. Make sure you get those batteries out and junk them. That one will need to be replaced. If they won't warranty it, I can try to save it for you but there's a good chance something may have gotten smoked on board and if I can't tell what it was I can't replace it. Let me know if you want me to check it out for you.

Emailed Bushnell and they'll be replacing it free of charge with a Black Flash model 466. 720p video with sound, heck ya!
