Massachusetts hare

I've always rabbit hunted with my cousins and his beagles and have just got my own 2 beagles this year and am looking into running rabbits. Massachusetts i've seen a bunch of cottontails in the berkshires and was wondering if anyone knows of any public land containing hare there? Anyone has seen any on greylock, savoy, or chalet?
