Hey i am new to coon hunting. i was hoping or some advise on hunting without dogs.

Welcome to the site... I would say hunting coons without dogs would be tough... Unless you come and sit by my compost pile at night... ;D

I use to run a trap line when I was in high school for coons how i paid for a big chunk of my first truck. But we also had 2 blue ticks and a walker an would get 3/4 that way. I would say trapping them would be your best bet if you don't have a dog. Either that or try to find some big old trees that have a ton of coin scat around them and try to catch them coming out of them at night.

thanks haha. i heard from one of my friends that you can bait them with marshmellows and dog food. i've trapped oppossums before but never coons. ;)

try calling them mouth calls work some times but for best chances get a electronic call and make sure it has the coon pup sound
