Never really looked for them, but sure there are some around here. Should be a good year for them...dark and damp!!

I have permission to hunt a property in Rensselaerville that had a lot of them, at least that was what they looked like to me. I'm to inexperienced and paranoid to harvest wild mushrooms though.

Very nice I didn't know you have them here on the continent. Its the only mushroom I eat. Back in Sweden we would go looking for these on clearcuttings where they seem to grow the best especially after the ground has been prepared for new trees.

Hey guys...Ive been looking for them when ive been out fiddleheading the past few weeks..anyone knows if they grow in Maine? Havent seen any yet, but have been keeping an eye out.. thanks
