12 Year Old Daughter's First Elk

My daughter, Ally, shot her first elk today.

I took her out of school for a few hours and she shot this nice cow with a .280 Remington at about 100 yards.

She's been hunting hard and really earned this one.

Of course Dad is really proud of her and she made a great shot!

Congrats to her.  8) 8) 8) You have one heck of an elk hole! go see doc today and am getting pretty good movement in my arm so hopefully can hunt some soon.

Thats great my oldest daughter is 5 and I hope that I can share those same memories and expirences that you did with your daughter,  she loves hunting and fishing now, we will see what she is into when she turns 12, hopefully not boys :o
