New Sight

I finally gave up on trying to get a cheap sight to work on my bow, I've been going through one a year trying to get one I really like. So after having my new Truglo from last fall let me down I made the move to a Spot Hogg. I just ordered a custom sight today so I could get decreasing pin diameters. I've never taken a deer with anything but my 20yd pin, but I want the longer range set up for coyote control if the opportunity presents itself. Here's what I ordered, can't wait to get it and set it up but it'll likely be a while for the custom build.

those are great sights you will be very happy, awesome investment, been thinking about switching to a single pin myself, not sure though

I thought about the single pins. I think that if I went that route I would do the hybrid with one fixed and one adjustable.

I love my single pin sight 

If you think about it the bulk of your shots will be 10 - 30 yards .....  if you set your pin for 20 or 25 yards it will cover most shots.

I never once adjusted it last year ...... although i never shot at a deer  and the one i got was with my remington 870 

It's so different killing a deer with a gun  ....  mine dropped on the spot and was dead before it hit the gorund

I have been using a single pin for over 20 years. For me simple is better.

They make a good sight I had a hard time deciding between them and sword. I would have went with a multi pin as well I'm not a fan of single pins sights.  Slab it on and sight it in deer season will be hear before ya know it

I  shoot a single pin myself for years and love it ; The main thing is now your bow as to what it will do and the hold high
or hold low shoot the deer target at your stand site  and practice - practice I have a set up on my back lawn to play with

You will like those smaller pins at further distances.

I really like the idea of decreasing diameters. I like the ones on my Truglo but they aren't straight vertically, so it's going in the parts box.

Got the new sight delivered yesterday. Only a week for the custom build to show up, that was faster than I expected. Definitely a well made sight, hopefully this one will hold up better than the cheaper ones I've had so far. Shot it last night for a bit and really like it but I will have to bump up my peep diameter, it's pretty small now and I'd like to bring the sight in a little closer.

What are you thinking for a peep?  I shoot a 1/4 black from G5 and its pretty good in low light iv been thinking about swapping it out for a flo blue I read some on them and people say they help in low light even more. They do make glow in the dark peeps which I thought was going to be the cats meow,  but I hated it. It was actually worst in low light the glow from it makes it harder to concentrate on the pins as it tends to make my eye focus on the peep.   This could be just me though as I can't shoot with both eyes open as I'm left eye dominate and right hand dominate and shoot a bow right handed.

I have to measure mine, but it's a weird size like a 5/32. I just need to increase the window a little so I may actually go to a 1/4" Meta. I never thought much about color of the peep, always just thought of it as an aperture to look through but to really even notice. I'll have to think about that now.

Nice site, they are pretty solid. The 3/16" Meta peep is the lightest one(6 grains I think).
