New Bow Advice??
« on: Mar 19, 2012, 12:33:51 PM »
I am looking at purchasing new or a used/newer bow.  Right now I shoot the Hoyt Raptor Invader.  I am looking to get a newer, maybe more compact bow.  I am a big guy and don't want to get something too small.  Would love to hear some recommendations.  Preferably Hoyt!! Would also consider Bowtech.
Thank you for your help,
MDH

there is a Vector 35 for sale on archerytalk.com I just bought a Heli-m having been a Hoyt guy the change is tough, the Heli-m is a great looking bow, but I havent shot it yet because I dont have any accessories... but if the right Hoyt deal came along I would prob trade...there are also some Alphaburners on the archerytalk site, there is one that is in great shape for 375$ shipped to your door I almost bought it, fast, smaller, pretty light and thats a sweet deal

I would say throw Elite Archery into the mix of a must shoot before deciding.

Yes, from what I here you should definitely look at the Elites; I was thinking of the Elite Hunter but bought a couple recurves instead.

I haven't shot last year models of Elites but I did shoot a GT500 two years ago. That bow is the smoothest drawing bow I have had in my hands. It is a binary cam bow but it drew like a single cam. Fast and quite too. To be honest I am surprised I don't have one yet and I have shot Martin's my whole life.

It's missing the two biggest accessories, sight and rest. Also the most expensive ones.

my bow is bare... so I need those anyway haha, just dont know much about Elite... the bow seems to retail at a decent price and I did some searches on reviews... Idk I would like accessories for mine to hunt with it for at least a season and then consider trading unless the right hoyt comes along...

That's just what I was thinking, still need arrows, too.
