07 Buck

After school last Friday i went out to sit for about an hour and a half. On my way in i found the remains of a four pointer that prob got shot during bow season. I decided to sit right there for the night. At about 3:45 I gave a couple doe bleats to no avail. Again at 4:15 I gave a couple more doe bleats followed by a couple buck grunts. At about 4:30 I started hearing something coming up from behind one of the houses i was behind so i thought it was a person or a dog or something. I waited it out just in case. Having nothing better to do, i waited well after shooting light to see what it was that was still making its way in my direction. When i saw movement in front of me I put the scope on it and I saw a nice mainframe six pointer. There was no way i was taking a shot cuz it was too late. He came to about 50 yards grunting all the way and i had to watch him walk off. I waited until 5:15 before i made my way out so i didn't jump him out of the small piece of woods he was in, hoping to be back in there the following morning. The next day i went and sat in the exact same spot as the night before and my dad walked through the small piece and guess who came out with a doe, the same buck from the night before. With one shot, i dropped him in his tracks. 7 points and 140 lbs

Yes i did, im thinking about doing a low budget european mount with it

30-06 with a 180 grain nosler....took him at just over 15 yards away
