Well opening day finally got here. I went out and got 5 Fox Squirrels and was done hunting at 8 am. I seen at least 15 squirrels. Looks like a good season ahead.

Good deal Bobberstop!! I could go for some squirrel stew myself right about now.
Those bushytails are alot of fun to hunt with a .22.

Yeah I use a Savage model 93, 22mag with a bushnell 3x9x40mm scope i shoot em in the eye at 40 yards

We still have a week to wait here in NY, but I always look forward to the first hunt of the fall- squirrels! I use a Marlin .22, no scope, and am looking forward to it!

bobber - that's some impressive shootin'! I haven't specifically targeted squirrels but want to this year. I put a scope on my .22 Remington bolt last year but didn't get a chance to get out.

Mike I wish we had grey squirells here but we dont, i grew up on greys, just fox here

Cider - I saw a grey that looked just like the last pic. He missed a branch and fell from a 30' oak tree
