I missed opening weekend here as I was in Nashville for my buddies bachelor party. Got pics of him at 430 opening day still in velvet which was the first time he hit that scrape in day light.  Once he shed his velvet he started to get more regular hitting the scrape but normally just after shooting light.  This week he hit it twice in daylight so Friday with the cold front that moved in and high winds I slipped in between this scrape and where I knew he was bedding a lot. 655 I saw I’m in the brushy thicket and watched him for 20 minutes before he worked his was into a 26 yrd shot right at last light.
I wasn’t sure on the hit but had good blood right on impact. Gave him an hour and was a shot track job he made it about 70 yards before crashing.

My highest scoring buck 149 4/8 and weighed 207 .
