I can remember as a kid in the 80's giant snow banks were the norm. Used to be warnings about kids making forts in snow banks and getting plowed in. That wouldn't be a problem now, kids don't go outside.

I was telling my son the other day when I grew up in Vernon Center we had snow drifts that would start at the peek of our roof (one story ranch on an open hill) and go all the way down to the back yard.  I would sled off of our roof, and make snow forts (tunnels in the snow) that i could walk in.  And it was all business as usual, no snow emergencies!  Aaaaa, the good old days... 8)

Well for us here in eastern N.Y., Nemo was a bust, we got about 10". I'm waiting for the plow to go by to clear my driveway. I heard there is another storm brewing out west & down south, maybe a repeat performance. Not sure of the name, I think it's Orko, something like that.

Yep, but you guys have been getting the brunt lately, I feel for you guys, you have to contend w/all the parked cars on the streets. I know you don't live or work Boston but when I worked out there trying to maneuver around those tight narrow streets suck. ::)

Got about 6 inches here. All that did was postpone my shed hunting for a little while. Nothing more than a nuisance, so much for all the hype  ???
