Took a ride up to the Adirondack Mountain Region in search of a nice boss gobbler. Did not take long at all.........after putting on an impressive show for 45-60 minutes for his 3 lady friends (and me) this guy came into range and finished up nicely 15 yards out and I quickly offered up a nice Winchester Supreme sandwich.
It rained steadily all morning and a real down pour for the last 1/2 hour of the hunt. Sucks that the denched bird does not make for a very good hero shot, but I am very pleased with this stud Tom.
Weight: 20+ Lbs.
Beard: 9-1/2"
Rt spur: 1-3/4"
Lt spur: 1-1/2"

Really nice tom, and the picture of those hooks
makes up for the hero shot.

Apparently the measurements were a bit off. A buddy of mine measured everything and I did not check his measurements until just now.
Actual measurements:
weight: 20 lbs. 13 oz.
beard: 8 3/4"
rt spur: 1 5/8"
lt spur: 1 3/8"
Total score (NWTF): 68.3125
Still a trophy bird, but a good 5 points lower than originally thought
