went out this morning for about 2 hours. Walked way up the mountainside and never found a bird. So i decide to walk down to the swamp, i hear and see longbeards hear all the time it's just a matter of calling them accross the creek. So immediatly i strike three up. Two Toms and a jake (best that i could tell from the gobbles). I spent 30-40 mins calling them and they finally came in from about 300 yards to mabye 75. I get in position to shoot them (mind you i still can not see the birds) and the next thing i know I hear boom, boom. Two shots, what sounded like one from a 12 and one from a 20 gauge. So I am assuming that it was parent and a kid. I was and still am furious. The people never let out a call or nothing. They just let me call the birds right to em.I wish i knew who it was, they were on posted property.
