I had to work but we are giving it a shot tomorow!
Encouraging as a LARGE tom crossed the road in our very residential area, as I was coming home from work. My first deer came the morning after a similar incident years ago. Could tomorrow be my 13 yr old son's first turk? Fun will be had by all!

Youth season here in NH is next weekend. going out with my buddy and his son for his very first turkey hunt. I love watching the kids get them, I enjoyed my stepsons first turkeys in 2003 and 2004. Headed to Vermont next weekend for the opener on Sunday. Good luck venisonman tomorrow! Hope the young one is successful!

Well, thanks for the wishes, The weather and turks did not cooperate. No Luck for venisonboy. Though we had several run across the road on the way home. He took it well......"at least we got a good hike , Dad!"
