Yea , this might be my last year for a while.. Now that they changed the rules my son will be able to hunt next year at the age of 14...  So I will be concentrating on getting him on deer...

It does Take time away from your hunting. But I think I had more fun those three years Tyler and I sat in blinds and stands together.
I'm almost thinking we saw more deer. We were always talking softly to each other. I think that murmur to a deer peaks their inquisitive nature.
Only time I ever watched a buck make a scrape at 20 yards. We both then proceeded to miss it... :P
But it is a lot of fun!!

Enjoy it while you can Raquette. 8) He will be slaying deer on his own in no time I bet. Go thing for him he already has a taxidermist and a good one from what I have seen. ;) ;D

That's going to be quality time my friend. I was there with H the 3rd for his first few. Better than any I took alone by far. Of course I was at work last year when the professor struck. The phone call was great though.

No bucks this week . Just this little guy trying to eat an apple bigger than his/her mouth...




I dont know where every one is.. Its not like they dont have anything to eat.. ;D

Those are drops all laying there?? Wow where are all your deer???  Hope all of our apples aren't dropped yet.

Everyone has been saying the pictures slowed the last week or so. I'm thinking the acorns and beech are dropping so they may be spending more time there.
A lot of food this year, looks like unless the tree rats don't get all the apples the deer will be later going to them.
Does look like a button. At least you wouldn't be shooting the buck factory..... :o
