The fish were biting this morning just not on a topwater. Got to the ramp about quarter of 7.  My buddy caught two dinkers right of the bat. So I wisely switch to a weightless Senko as well. Right after I tied it on I hooked about a 3 1/2 pounder. I tried to keep it from jumping but it was having no part of that. Thing jumped out of the water like a tarpon and threw the hook. :o ::) After a few choice words I tried to forget about that. As my buddy would go on to catch three keeper bass in the next twenty minutes. :o Oh great now I am down three fish and its about 9. I would go on to catch two keepers but not enough to edge my buddy out by noon. Thats what happens when you lose key fish. Took a pic of an Oriole while I was on the water.

Looks like fun Drobs, even if they are bass  ;D. Our weekend was a wash, really. We got up to the island and set up camp just before dark Friday night. Had a few adult beverages and hit the tents. We woke up to rain saturday morning and it rained all day except for 15 minutes when we tried to get out and fish. As soon as we pulled off the dock the rain started again. We made one trolling pass in about an hour and picked up three small lakers. We found a bunch, but didn't have the gear to fish in the rain so we didn't last long. Sunday it didn't rain for the first few hours so we fished for a while but they weren't real active, got a few more shorts. When we went back to pack up camp it started raining again, of course.

This is what it looked like all weekend

Thank you for your comment upstatehunter. Me and my buddy were talking about how we should go up and take Raquette's money in the tournament this weekend. While I am up there I will go kick that guy in the doo-dads that sold the vehicle to you.

Thanks stka, I know you secretly fish for bass and follow Bassmaster(I am on to you ;) ;D). Sorry to hear you got rained out but at least you managed to catch a few lakers.

Tent's and rain aren't the best combination.  :-\

My Dad, Oldest son and youngest brother ran to Dad's camp in NH for the weekend to Cut the grass and see if they could bring some brookies home. This was saturday, had equal result's on sunday. Both day's they were done in under an hour and let 20 or so go.

Found a trail camera website the auctions the demo/display models off. Right now I have my eye on a Scoutguard SG550C. Highest bid on it now is $100 and the auction ends tonight. I may offer a little more the camera retails for $209.95. I will have to pay shipping to which would be between 8-12 bucks.
