Squirrel in a crock pot

1.) shoot squirrels
2.) Skin squirrels.
3.) Place squirrel meat into a crock pot.
4.) Add potatoes, carrots, 1 beef boullion cube, onions, and a clove of ground garlic.
5.) Fill the crockpot halfway up with your favorite beer.
6.) cook on low heat all day (from 8:00am to about 5:00pm)
7.) Remove the contents and eat.
enjoy!

Saturday was the opener of duck season here in WI. We were out before sunrise to claim a spot and the day started with clouds and rain which, unfortunately, turned into Sunny and mid 70's.  :-[
As a group (8 of us) we didn't do extremely well, taking 17 teal. I personally shot my 6 bird limit although one of them was never recovered. It was a good time and the dogs worked their butts off for us.
Lexi was ready pre-dawn

A nice sunrise

Lexi retrieving a teal

The reason we lost a few birds...this place is thick

Lexi finally getting a chance to relax towards the end of the hunt

The days total...minus one boats worth. lol

And after the ducks were cleaned..........party time......... ;D

Nice strap of ducks! Looks like all bluewingers. Did you get any Greenwings? Our early teal season opened on Sept.1-16. I got a few limits on a few different hunts, but all BW's not a single GW.Pretty weird for my area. Good pictures, Hopefully there's more to come!
