WOW! that is one nice buck!

I use to hunt Pittsburg / Clarksville every year up until I sold my property 2 years ago. From 1976 until 2008,  seen and shot some nice bucks up there myself.

My hats off to ya, it's not easy hunting up there but if like you, shoot a good buck it usually is a real good one.

Nice job.

You ever want a chance at a real trophy buck, Pittsburg is one place to accomplish that.  In 1986 I was at a checking station "300 ft from my camp" and witnessed the record "265" being checked in that day. The guy shot it 5 miles in behind the camp and shot it at 7:30 in the morning. Took him and his son & brother until 4:30 that afternoon to get it out of the woods. What a monster! I can honestly say I have shot at and seen deer up there every bit as big and a few bigger than that one. Has to do with the Quebec / Maine gene pool up near the border. Simply giant deer!

Now you've got me going. Next year I may need to book a room with Gary at Spucecone Cabins and spend a couple weeks hunting my old haunts!!

Again real nice buck!

I thought the record was 289.5?
It's not being cocky if you can back it up!

I meant 1985. That was a new record set back in 1985.  I think it has been topped a couple times since then, I know at least once though.
