So how was your Muzzleloader season?
« on: Nov 11, 2010, 03:43:02 PM »
As for me I was able to harvest this beauty, a 11 pointer that weighed 192 lbs on Nov 6.  I had come across some pretty narley rubs that had me thinking a buck with some real good mass near the base had been in the area. Yep, I was right! But here's the cocker, there is another one in this area! Yesterday while hunting with my bow I came across more of the same type of rubs that hadn't been there before Saturday but on much much bigger trees, kinda scary! Trees that are 10" around in diameter! Also finding large scrapes the size of trash can covers with the earth thrown 10-15 feet from it. This guy is serious and I hope he will show himself as the rut gets closer! Hopefully I can catch a little more luck and have a crack at him, it would sure make for a great hunting season.

Like it hasn't been one already!  :D

Notice the broken main beam? looks like it was snapped during velvet and reattach itself. Pretty cool!

Good luck to all during the regular firearms season.

That is a great buck! Nevermind the size, I would rather shoot a deer with unique rack like that than a perfect typical any day. My brother shot an 11 pointer  that had chunks missing out of one beam and bird shot stuck in it. Not really a naturaly unique rack, but unique nonetheless.

Great Buck 44! Congrats. Hope you catch up to the other one. I have a biggun working my area too. He's rubbing trees the size of phone poles but I have yet to cross paths with him.

NICE BUCK! Congrats.  I'd just like to see a deer at this point.  Good luck tracking down the other bruiser in there!

First off thanks all  :)   I was hoping others here would have something to show as well! The season is still young, good luck to all!

Ya Bro, the same area I took the 8 pointer last year. Now when your ready to hunt where there are some biggins, you know my number  ;D

Lately we could of used an extra body in the woods to get these boy's moving. It should pick back up though right around Thanks Giving.
