Title: Favorite deer lure/scent
Post by: Sandman on Oct 13, 2004, 06:33:58 PM
Just wondering for us what is your favorite deer lure/scent.
I flat out love Warczok's Lures. It come from a deer farm around Cohocton and I've seen it in several archery and gun shops.
Since I and my partners have used it we have had a lot of success.
We have gotten some nice bucks off mock scrapes and the pre rut lure they have actually has worked all season. My buddy just got a 5 point in the northern zone using it. I find that with any doe-in-heat, does do not want to be around it if they are not ready. But again we have gotten many bucks that come in licking their lips.
Lots of good stuff out on the market but this stuff is awasome.

I started using there scents a few years ago, good stuff.

Alot better than Tinks which I consider junk. Scents don't work well for me....I don't know why?

I have alot better success with the grunt call, then horns , then scents.

I always like to make a mock scrape or two in my hunting areas but do not use lure in a scent bomb all of the time.
I find there are times to use it and times the deer won't pay any attention to it. But it sure is fun to to put out that warczok doe in heat when the rut is on and watch a buck make a fool out of himself.
Rattling and grunting work for me as well. I always put a little buck urine out.

I use Fritzies' Doe in heat scent.  It's collected at a local farm here in PA.  Great Stuff!!  I think anytime you can get this product fresh from a quality operation it is a good choice.   Buying it fresh and keeping it fresh is the key.

Hey, that's cool. I know for a fact that Rikard's buys from that Warczok Farm.
I saw bottles they were filling when I took a tour.

interesting sandman. I wonder then how they claim to be the first and the oldest? Good stuff none the less although it hasn't done the trick yet this season. where is the Warczok Farm?
