Check into the mossberg 500. I bought the deer/bird edition in mossy oak. Synthetic has held up to every kind of weather. Super versatile, and in my opinon the best gun for the money. paid around 380 earlier in the year. Awesome.

dont settle on  a gun for the money factor if you have to save for what you really want it will make you happier down the road with the gun. everyone wants a browning gold or a benelli  super black eagle but thats not always practicle to spend that much. shoot other peoples guns and see what fits your frame and shooting style the best

I have a mossberg 500 and the gun doesnt like 3" shells. Sometimes they eject and sometimes they dont, royal PITA. I am going to get rid of it and get a benelli

Forget about this thread,  picked up a mossberg 500 this past winter with the old poly choke system for 150 bucks,  plan to replace the barrel with a barrel that will take the accu choke system sometime this winter
Its not a passion its an obsession

I have to agree with you!! For the money you pay for it, it is a reliable gun.  I have had mine now for over 10 years and have only really cleaned it once because I had to take it apart to replace the forend!!  Other then the occasional dropping of rounds, I am VERY pleased with it duck hunting and more recently deer hunting!!  ;D
