I know this guy isn't the biggest deer in the woods but I figured I would start it off....I got him around 2 this afternoon with my bow. Nice 8 point and fairly wide. He was pushing some does and he walked 15 yards from me broadside. I got him through the lungs and he ran about 100 yards. I watched him fall and stumble and I knew he was mine. Chalk another one up for thunderheads...totally devastating! The woods looked like a crime scene....I had to drag him nearly 1/4 mile though and I would have given anything for a 4 wheeler.....

Here's my entry for the year (unless I get ambitious and keep bowhunting) The spread wasn't much, but the bases were around 8 inches and the main beams were around 19" with the G1's around 9 1/2". I haven't taken good measurements yet. I haven't shot a buck since 1998 so I'm pretty proud of him.
