No beetles all his died he picks the meat off then I believe boils it then bleaches it or whatever taxidermist do. He's done about 6 for me and they come out great I tried it once it stunk and didn't come out that great. I just did one with a plastic skull and was easy and looks decent but not the same as real thing.

Looks great! I don't blame ya either, while I do like the Mike's, nothing beats the real thing. If done right ;)
