Noise and Vibration
« on: Aug 19, 2009, 07:37:32 AM »
I recently had the string replaced on my Diamond Rapture. Now I have tons of vibration and my bow is crazy loud! The strings are the correct size and everything is tight. I brought it back to the shop and they are working with Diamond to figure out what is wrong. The bow has never been dry fired, dropped, or left in extreme heat. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. As you can imagine I am very frustrated. Thanks in advance. Cheeks out!!! 8)

Sounds like they may have gotten one of the buss cables to tight, or the wrong one tight. Some bows have one cable tighter than the other, to offset the pull of a cable slide.
over tighten the wrong one and it twists the limbs the wrong way, making them work against the natural torque of the draw cycle.
Or they removed an idler or cam and didn't get shims or bearings replaced quite right.
Hope they fix it before the season for you.
