I been lurking on here for a little while now and have just started getting into shooting recurve and was wondering how many of you shoot recuve or long bows rather than compounds.

well after hunting around and trying to figure out what i wanted to buy and not finding anything within my price range that had a nice grip. on a whim i picked up 2 bows off ebay for 90 bucks.  a Shakspear recurve 50# and a little 41# Darton..   played around with them the other day and both of them shoot nice and smooth.

 :)
I started with a fiberglass shakespear in 1979. One of the smoothest recurves I have shot. Only one better I have played with, was a browning. Good luck this season.
